An update from the SFA

A release of a Club Support for Wellbeing document

During what is a difficult and challenging time for us all, we have seen the football in Scotland come together with messages of support and innovative ways for us all to stay mentally and physically active.

While we must all continue to follow the latest government advice on Coronavirus (COVID-19) and stay at home to help save lives and protect our NHS, there have been plenty of examples of our beautiful game pitching in to help local communities however they can. From creative exercise ideas to donations of food and elderly deliveries, football across Scotland is doing whatever it can to help.

Following the unprecedented measures taken by Scottish and UK Governments to ask people to stay indoors as much as possible, I’m sure we are all too aware of the strain this will have on individuals’ physical and mental wellbeing. With input from our Child Wellbeing team and signposting from NHS psychology staff, we have collated a resource for Quality Mark clubs with ideas of how you could support your football family through this tough time.
