Positive Choices, Real Impact is an engaging, discussion-led workshop supporting young people to explore mental health, identity, relationships, substance use and the wider impact of their choices.
Developed collaboratively by Fife Council, The Pars Foundation and Dunfermline Athletic FC, the workshops complement existing wellbeing, safeguarding and inclusion programmes while providing pupils with an interactive, real-world learning experience.
Our Aim
To help young people across Fife develop a deeper understanding of mental health, relationships, identity, substance use and how the choices they make can impact themselves and others.
What Young People Will Gain
Through the workshops, pupils will be encouraged to:
Develop their understanding of mental health and wellbeing
Respect identity, diversity and individual differences
Make informed and responsible choices around substances
Explore healthy relationships and positive behaviours
Understand how their actions can affect others and the wider community
Challenge prejudice, stereotypes and misconceptions
Feel confident contributing to safer, more supportive school and community environments
What the Workshops Involve
Sessions are interactive, engaging and discussion-led, using real-life scenarios, group activities and myth-busting exercises to explore important wellbeing topics.
Rather than simply being talked to, young people are encouraged to share ideas, consider different perspectives, ask questions and think about the consequences of different choices.
Why Bring Positive Choices, Real Impact to Your School?
The workshops provide schools with a relatable and engaging way to complement existing wellbeing and pastoral support.
They help pupils better understand themselves and others, navigate relationships, make safer and more informed decisions, and recognise the positive role they can play within their school and wider community.
Delivery
Workshops are delivered by trained facilitators from Fife Council, The Pars Foundation and Dunfermline Athletic FC.
Sessions can be discussed with schools to ensure the content is appropriate for their pupils and existing wellbeing provision.
