Man On! is a free men’s health and wellbeing programme from The Pars Foundation, using football, conversation and social connection to support men across Dunfermline and the surrounding community.

The programme provides a relaxed, welcoming space where men can get active, meet others and talk openly without the pressure or stigma that can sometimes come with accessing more formal support.

Football is at the heart of the programme, with weekly sessions combining physical activity with informal conversations around topics including mental wellbeing, confidence, managing stress, relationships, routine and healthy lifestyles.

But Man On! is about more than football. Throughout the programme, participants can also take part in social activities, practical skills workshops, guest speaker sessions, volunteering opportunities and leadership development. Activities are shaped by the group and can include everything from escape rooms and practical projects to friendly matches and sessions with other football clubs.

The programme aims to help men:

  • Improve their mental and physical wellbeing

  • Build confidence and self-belief

  • Reduce loneliness and social isolation

  • Develop positive routines and connections

  • Learn new practical and personal skills

  • Access volunteering, peer support and leadership opportunities

  • Feel part of a supportive community

There is no expectation around football ability or fitness level. The focus is on getting involved, enjoying the sessions and supporting one another.

Man On! – Football. Conversation. Connection.
